Things You Should Know
In accordance with the PIPED Act of January 2004, we contact ALL our candidates on an annual basis to update their file.
- It is against company policy to recruit candidates while updating their personal information
- It is strictly against company policy to recruit candidates we have placed.
Executive Search Placements
Searches at a Senior Executive level may be conducted on:
- A contingency fee basis
- An exclusive contract basis with a predetermined flat fee plus disbursements
- A pre-determined hourly rate plus disbursements.
- Fees are determined according to the requirements of the assignment, and are negotiated before the commencement of the search.
Contingency Fee Placements
Fees are contingent upon you hiring any candidate that we presented to you at your request. Our fee schedule will be discussed & approved before resumes are sent.
Contract Placements
Contract placements are billed on a flat fee basis, per our fee schedule or negotiated before commencing the search. A percentage of the contract fees paid may be applied towards a permanent placement fee.
In the case of applicants supplied on a contract basis, who are subsequently hired permanently by the client in any capacity, up to 12 months after leaving the position, our normal placement fee is applicable. Descheneaux Recruitment Services Ltd. does not place candidates on straight commission. Placements are invoiced on confirmation and are due and payable upon commencement of employment.
Fees apply when any candidate (permanent or contract) referred by us:
- Is hired by your company in any capacity within twelve months of our original referral.
- Is referred by you and hired by another company within twelve months of our original referral.

Our objective is to offer our clients a complete, confidential, and well-rounded hiring facility.
Our contingency fee schedule is based on starting annual salary.
Fees apply when the candidate referred by us is hired by your company in any capacity, or is referred by you and hired by another company within twelve months of our original referral.
